Wayne did a great job at cleaning our windows for a reasonable price. We have a single story house with 16 windows. Wayne and coworker showed up at the appointed time with an RO water filter that they set up in the driveway and hooked up to our outdoor faucet. The RO water makes it easy for them to leave a spotless finish. They also did a good job cleaning the sills and screens. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

So glad we came across these great guys! Love that they are Jack of all trades. We had them clean our solar panels, wash our windows, hang our Christmas lights and return to take them down. All at very fair prices. Joshua reached out to me to choose a day for them to come take the lights down, I didn’t even have to call them! We will definitely be using them for more jobs!

Joshua did a thorough job cleaning our solar panels. He not only discovered some defects, but help me list the serial numbers of each panel so I could contact the manufacturer concerning the warranty. He went over and above what I expected from him.

Joshua and his coworker (forgive me for not remembering your name) came and did a fantastic job cleaning my solar panels. They did a full inspection of my roof as well and were done in about an hour or so. Will definitely be hiring again, and recommend them for anyone reading this.

I recently had Carlsbad Home Cleaning clean my 50 solar panels, and I couldn’t be happier with the service! Upon arrival, I asked if they could also clean my hot water heater solar system, and they handled everything professionally and efficiently at all at a great price.

We had a great experience with Josh. Great guy, and great price. We will definitely call him again when we need our solar panels cleaned in the future. Wait to see how much our bill goes down from cleaning our panels.
Avoid Permanent Solar Panel Damage in San Diego County
Stages of Solar Panel Damage
- Early Stage: Discoloration
Dirt, bird droppings, and sap cause yellowing, and prolonged UV exposure can degrade the anti-reflective coating, reducing light absorption. - Intermediate Stage: Hot Spots
Debris creates shading, causing certain cells to overheat. Thermal imaging can detect these hot spots, which may lead to burn marks and permanent damage. - Advanced Stage: Microcracks & Snail Trails
Mechanical stress and temperature fluctuations cause microcracks. Over time, these cracks can turn into snail trails—dark lines that reduce efficiency. - Long-Term Damage: Corrosion & Delamination
After 5-10 years, contaminants and moisture can lead to corrosion, seal degradation, and delamination, causing permanent efficiency loss and costly repairs.
Preventative Measures
- Regular Cleaning
Clean panels 2-4 times per year, depending on local conditions. In coastal areas, regular cleaning is even more important due to airborne debris and moisture. - Professional Inspections
Bi-annual inspections help detect issues early. Thermal imaging can identify microcracks and hot spots before they cause major damage. - Proper Installation
Ensure panels are installed at the correct tilt and angle to avoid water pooling and debris buildup. Quality mounting solutions improve durability.
By following these practices, you can prevent costly repairs, enhance efficiency, and maximize your solar investment.

Maximize Solar Panel Efficiency in San Diego County
How Cleaning Improves Efficiency
Regular cleaning helps solar panels operate at their best by removing dirt and debris. This ensures that sunlight can reach the cells, boosting energy production. The effect of cleaning depends on environmental conditions:
- Mild Soiling: Light dust and occasional dirt can reduce efficiency by 5-10%.
- Heavy Soiling: Areas with high pollution or frequent bird droppings can experience efficiency losses of 20-30% or more.
- Rainfall: Rain may remove some dirt, but it doesn’t eliminate stubborn grime or oily residues. Manual cleaning is still necessary.
Why Solar Panel Cleaning is Necessary
- Clears Obstructions: Dust, bird droppings, and other debris block sunlight, decreasing energy production. Regular cleaning ensures that your panels absorb maximum sunlight.
- Enhances Light Transmission: Clean panels allow more sunlight to reach the cells, improving energy output.
- Prevents Hot Spots: Uneven soiling can cause overheating, which leads to long-term damage. Consistent cleaning helps avoid this problem.
When to Schedule Cleaning
You should clean your solar panels when visible dirt accumulates, especially after dust storms or heavy rain. In high-soiling areas, quarterly or semi-annual cleaning is recommended to maintain optimal efficiency and extend the life of your system.
